Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Fabrication Production Supervisor for B Shift to oversee hourly workers on the line, ensure product quality and safety, and maintain productivity targets. The role requires staff coordination, adherence to union rules, and hands-on involvement in pre-operational procedures.

The supervisor will participate in daily meetings, train staff, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring line readiness for start of operations each day.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years background in packing house (beef preferred) to learn products produced.
• Knowledge of products and their specifications is essential.
• Ability to motivate workers.

Responsibilities

• Insure the quality and yields of products on the line.
• Supervise all hourly employees on the line.
• Responsible for the safety and motivation of all employees supervised.
• Insure that all products leaving the line area meet required specifications.
• Prepare pre-operational paperwork and ensure the line is clean and sanitized before operations begin.
• Ensure area is properly staffed to meet production needs.
• Prepare employee paperwork for all employees on the line.
• Line tasks are relatively structured each day.
• Performance measured by General Foreman on productivity and supervision.
• Understand and adhere to all union regulations regarding hourly employees.
• Attend and input at daily supervisor meetings within fabrication area.
• Run line meetings once a month for hourly employees on line.
• Administer follow-up training on all personnel on line.
• Directly responsible for discipline procedures with hourly employees on the line.
