Costa Auto Care and Tire in Oakland, CA is seeking a High-Production Repair Technician (B-Level) to join a family-owned shop that has served the community for decades. This role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and earning a production-based bonus while keeping a strict no-weekend schedule.

You will perform brake, suspension, and drivability repairs, run digital health inspections, and ensure every repair is quality-checked before release.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on professional repair experience.
• Strong B-level skills: complete repairs independently and efficiently.
• Track record of quality work and low comebacks.
• Your own hand tools.
• ASE certifications preferred; smog license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Brakes, suspension, steering, and general maintenance/repair.
• Intermediate engine, transmission, and drivability repairs.
• Perform complete digital vehicle health inspections with photos and findings.
• Quality-check every repair before the car leaves, road test when needed.
• Produce about 50 flag hours in a 40-hour week.
• Handle tire and alignment work when needed.
• Work alongside lead diagnostic technician and grow toward A-level.

High-Production Repair Technician (B-Level) | $40–$45/hr + Production Bonus | Up to $114K | Mon–Fri, No Weekends

You like a full board. You move through brakes, suspension, and repairs efficiently, you do them right, and the car doesn't come back. You want a shop that keeps you busy and pays you for what you produce, without working Saturdays.

We're a family-owned independent shop that has served Oakland for over 40 years. The owner came up as a technician, and our shop runs on quality work and honest recommendations.

The pay

• $40–$45/hr base (based on experience), 40 hours a week: $83,200–$93,600 a year
• Plus $40 for every flag hour over 40 per week
• Flag 50 hours in a 40-hour week and you earn $104,000–$114,000 a year
• The base covers your hours. The bonus rewards production. Comeback hours don't count toward the bonus, so quality work pays.

The schedule

• Monday–Friday, full-time. No weekends.

What you'll do

• Brakes, suspension, steering, and general maintenance and repair
• Intermediate engine, transmission, and drivability repairs
• Perform complete digital vehicle health inspections, with clear photos and accurate findings the advisor can explain to the customer
• Quality-check every repair before the car leaves your bay: verify the fix, road test when needed, and confirm nothing was left loose, leaking, or unfinished
• Produce about 50 flag hours in a 40-hour week
• Handle tire and alignment work when the shop needs backup
• Work alongside our lead diagnostic technician and grow toward A-level
