Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a specialist IT professional to design, implement and manage Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop environments within the Digital Services team. You will drive improvements, optimise performance, security and user experience across NHS sites, and work with VMware/ESXI/Hyper-V/KVM and related infrastructure.

The post holder should have a degree in an IT-related field, proven specialist IT systems experience, ongoing CPD, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in an IT specialty or equivalent
• Specialist, demonstrable experience in IT systems
• Evidence of CPD in IT subjects (courses/postgraduate)
• Knowledge of complex IT systems and modern infrastructure practices

Responsibilities

• Provide management, maintenance and support to NHSL Digital Systems
• Apply specialist technical knowledge across complex IT systems and server products
• Produce documentation on complex technical systems across NHSL infrastructure
• Plan and execute changes and improvements to NHSL IT Systems Infrastructure
