Finboa™ in Houston, Texas is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for the performance, integrity, security, and availability of databases. The DBA will handle both client-facing and internal environments, supporting implementations and optimizations in Microsoft Azure SQL. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in database management, with proven skills in SQL and hands-on Azure SQL management. This position offers a flexible schedule and provides opportunities for advancement within a rapidly growing company.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in database administration (SQL Server / Azure SQL).
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure SQL, including DTU and/or vCore resource management.
• Advanced SQL skills, including query writing and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own provisioning, configuration, ongoing maintenance, and disaster recovery planning and testing for databases.
• Support client implementations, go-lives, migrations ensuring database readiness.
• Monitor and actively manage DTU / vCore utilization and query performance.
