What We Do

The Azure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing advanced cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure to meet organizational goals. This role emphasizes creating scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a technical leader with extensive Azure experience, solution design expertise, and a deep understanding of enterprise IT environments.

What You'll Do

  1. Design and implement Azure-based architectures for applications, data, and infrastructure.
  2. Develop scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions to meet business needs.
  3. Provide architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams.
  4. Lead the adoption of Azure best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies and roadmaps.
  6. Evaluate and recommend Azure services and third-party tools.
  7. Establish governance frameworks, including policies, RBAC, and tagging strategies.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  9. Design architectures focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
  10. Monitor and optimize system performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  11. Lead cloud migration projects, including planning and risk management.
  12. Modernize legacy applications for Azure compatibility with cloud-native technologies.
  13. Incorporate DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, using tools like Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps.
  14. Develop automated workflows for resource provisioning and management.
  15. Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, security, and operations.
  16. Mentor junior architects and administrators on Azure technologies.
  17. Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure components.
  18. Monitor and optimize Azure resource performance and costs.
  19. Implement security best practices, including Azure Security Center and RBAC.
  20. Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
  21. Develop automation scripts and templates (PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
  22. Automate routine tasks such as provisioning, monitoring, and scaling.
  23. Manage Azure monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health.
  24. Troubleshoot Azure service and application issues.
  25. Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  26. Configure and manage Azure networking components, including VPNs and load balancers.
  27. Ensure secure connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.
  28. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and stakeholders to provide Azure expertise.
  29. Mentor and train junior staff on Azure best practices.
  30. Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in Azure administration.
  3. Proven experience with Azure services, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud security.
  4. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (required).
  5. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar (preferred).
  6. Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
  7. Strong networking knowledge (DNS, routing, firewalls).
  8. Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  9. Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and migrations.
  10. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  11. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  12. Ability to adapt to evolving cloud technologies.
  13. Collaborative, proactive team player.

Salary Range: $131,800 - 219,675 Annually

This range is an estimate and may vary based on education, experience, and location.
