Job summary

Eagle Point Software is seeking an Application Architect to anchor our engineering team in Dubuque, IA. You will design and implement Azure-based architectures, write C# and Angular code, and set engineering standards across the platform.

You will drive AI-enabled development, ensure SOC 2 security compliance, and lead architecture decisions from concept to production. This role blends hands-on coding with strategic oversight in a hybrid/remote setting.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years designing and implementing software applications, including large-scale projects, with time in architecture/tech lead roles.
• Excellent collaboration and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and development practices.
• Experience with hybrid/remote teams across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own system architecture end to end from proof of concept to production.
• Translate business goals into scalable, reliable architecture and communicate direction to engineers and stakeholders.
• Design and build software hands-on in C# and Angular, setting architectural standards.
• Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and specs for team use.
• Manage the Azure environment: production workloads, IaC, and high-level infrastructure.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure.
• Support SOC 2 security and compliance in the Azure environment.
• Drive AI-assisted developer tooling adoption and integration into products.
• Lead code and design reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
• Tune performance to meet SLA targets.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices.
