Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics (an Akima company) seeks an Azure Cyber Security Specialist to secure cloud environments and ensure DoD/USMC compliance. You will support RMF/ATO activities, develop SSPs and SCTMs, and implement STIGs across Azure, working with engineers and government teams.

The role requires DoD security experience, active clearance, and strong Azure expertise to maintain a secure cloud posture and timely security milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years related experience in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
• Hands-on experience with USMC/DoD ATO processes, RMF workflows, and compliance documentation.
• Proficiency implementing DoD STIGs/SRGs and security controls in cloud/hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of Azure security services (Azure AD, Defender, Security Center, Key Vault, NSGs, logging).
• Experience developing and managing POA&Ms, SSPs, RMF artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support USMC/DoD RMF packages (SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, continuous monitoring).
• Execute, validate, and document DoD STIGs/SRGs and security controls in Azure.
• Coordinate and support ATO activities with evidence and artifacts.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to integrate secure configurations and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Manage security posture across Azure services (identity, network security, logging, incident response).
• Conduct security assessments, gap analyses, and risk evaluations for cloud systems.
• Engage with government cybersecurity teams, program managers, system owners, and partners to ensure timely milestones.
• Monitor and apply evolving DoD/USMC guidance to processes and controls.
• Provide SME on Azure security features and architecture.
