Job summary

Expeditors International in Seattle is seeking a Security Engineer III to design and maintain security for our Azure-based cloud environment. You will work with development and security teams to implement controls, respond to incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance across GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Combined minimum 5 years’ experience in systems design/architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Experience with Azure security tools and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Conduct security assessments and audits of Azure environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor security alerts and manage incident response for Azure-related events.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Azure security services (Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Key Vault).
• Stay updated with security trends and regulatory requirements.
• Draft and maintain technical standards and operational processes.
