Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an Azure Security Engineer to support and enhance a cloud-first security program. The role focuses on securing enterprise Azure environments, implementing security controls, and driving compliance initiatives with key partners across infrastructure, cloud, and applications.

The engineer will design controls, monitor incidents with Defender for Cloud and Sentinel, and lead IAM practices using Azure AD and PIM.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of information security experience with at least 2 years focused on Azure cloud security.
• Knowledge of Azure security services and cloud governance frameworks.
• Experience with multi-cloud security considerations including AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Azure cloud environments.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation activities.
