Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the DISA DEOS program in Chantilly, VA. The role designs secure Azure architectures, automates controls, and coordinates incident response with DISA and stakeholders.

The engineer applies RMF/ATO knowledge, implements cyber defenses, and provides consultative guidance on Zero Trust, IAM, and boundary protections for DoD cloud workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; 4 years can substitute for degree.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• 8570 IAT Level II certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC or SSCP).
• 6+ years of related experience in security or systems engineering.
• Azure experience deploying and managing VMs, applying secure configurations, patching, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain secure Azure architectures for DEOS services.
• Build and administer Azure VMs with OS hardening and performance tuning.
• Develop and operate Azure Automation Runbooks for patching, config enforcement, and recovery actions.
• Coordinate RMF/ATO artifacts and DISA/DoD visibility controls across Azure components.
• Lead incident response coordination with DEOS and DISA stakeholders.
