Job summary

BuzzClan is seeking an Azure Security Architect to lead enterprise security design across Azure platforms from Kansas with remote work and periodic on-site governance meetings. You will review architectures, enforce zero trust, IAM, data protection, logging, and regulatory alignment, delivering executive briefings and risk remediation recommendations.

The role requires 10+ years in enterprise architecture and Azure governance, with strong knowledge of Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, and RBAC/PIM.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise architecture and cloud experience.
• 5+ years designing and governing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Security architecture across SaaS, cloud, integration, data platform and identity environments.
• Translate security risks into business-relevant recommendations for executives.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Architecture & Governance, Entra ID, RBAC/PIM, Azure Networking, Defender, Sentinel, Data Protection.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge solution architectures, designs, and implementation plans.
• Assess solutions for security, resiliency, governance, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate identity, access management, networking, data protection, logging, monitoring, and third-party integrations.
• Conduct architecture and security reviews at key project milestones.
• Identify risks, control gaps, and remediation recommendations.
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to finance systems.
• Provide executive-level summaries, risk assessments, and recommendations.
• Ongoing advisory support for project and governance teams.
