Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure Azure cloud infrastructure with AKS. You will manage CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and security controls while coordinating changes and disaster recovery plans.

You will work in a regulated environment, leveraging FedRAMP/NIST frameworks, and collaborate on documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with years of experience; equivalent hands-on experience may be accepted.
• 3+ years in system admin and DevOps for containerized platforms/Kubernetes
• Expertise with Azure; familiarity with AWS and GCP
• Hands-on with Azure AKS, Helm, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting
• SQL Server/database administration, backup/restore, and patching
• Terraform, Bicep, and/or ARM for infrastructure automation
• Experience in regulated environments with formal change processes and security/compliance requirements
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, and Zero Trust frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Operate and admin AKS Kubernetes clusters, node pools, networking, PVs, ingress, secrets, RBAC, namespaces.
• Manage container images and publishing to Azure Container Registry.
• Perform server administration: patching, user provisioning, monitoring, backup/restoration.
• Automate infra and app deployments using CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and Helm.
• Implement security/compliance controls per NIST 800-53 and Zero Trust.
• Develop runbooks, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
• Troubleshoot infra, app, network, and pipeline issues to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to monitoring and metrics for availability, throughput, and licenses.
• Plan and manage work, advise on priorities and risks, coordinate changes.
• Lead platform upgrades, image updates, maintenance, and rollback testing.
• Prepare change docs and coordinate network, DNS, firewall, and infra updates.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery procedures.
