Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics (FRA), an Akima company, is seeking an Azure Platform Lead to coordinate engineering across the USMC Enterprise Azure DevSecOps environment. You will guide a small team, shape architecture, and drive platform modernization while ensuring security and compliance.

Located in Charleston, SC or Stafford, VA for periodic on-site visits, with remote work flexibility. The role emphasizes security, IaC, Terraform/Bicep, and automation to sustain mission-critical Azure services.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, Math, or related field.
• Security+ (IAT II) or equivalent DoD 8570 certification.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure engineering, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and platform operations.
• Experience guiding technical work or coordinating engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency with Azure services, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small Azure engineering team and coordinate tasks across team members.
• Oversee architecture decisions for Azure services, pipelines, and cloud-native components.
• Maintain platform modernization, upgrades, and improvements.
• Ensure availability, resiliency, and performance of Azure services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Direct secure CI/CD practices across Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Promote Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, and cloud automation usage.
• Oversee security tooling integration, container hardening, and compliance automation.
• Manage customer onboarding, RBAC, provisioning, configuration, and documentation.
• Produce platform documentation and contribute to roadmaps.
