Job summary

IT Associates in Downers Grove, IL or Quincy, MA or Princeton, NJ seeks an Azure Platform Engineer to design, implement, automate, and maintain scalable cloud platform solutions within Azure. You will collaborate with cloud architects, developers and business stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient deployments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in platform/cloud engineering, 2+ years on Azure, and expertise with Terraform, Harness, CI/CD, and security best practices, including IAM and secrets

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, Cloud/DevOps, or related roles with 2+ years on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building automation, integrations, and tooling using Java and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience supporting and enabling Azure services.
• Strong Terraform experience for provisioning Azure resources via IaC.
• CI/CD pipelines experience using Harness.
• Solid cloud security, IAM controls, and secrets management.
• Git version control and branching strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable cloud platform capabilities that enable application teams on Azure.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Terraform-based automation and deployment patterns.
• Build, support, and improve deployment pipelines using Harness and other tools.
• Provide platform enablement for Azure-hosted apps and services.
• Implement security, governance, and secrets management best practices.
• Monitor, observe, and optimize reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, operations, and stakeholders on modernization.
