Job summary

Liquid-Env-Solutions-of-Texa is seeking a Network Security Engineer to protect and optimize our hybrid on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure. You will lead security hardening, implement Azure security controls, and partner with IT leadership to safeguard our WAN/LAN, voice, and cloud resources.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and firewall management (Cisco Meraki and Fortigate).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure security tools (Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Defender for Cloud or Sentinel).
• Patching and server OS troubleshooting (Windows Server).
• Troubleshooting LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN environments (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Understanding of network segmentation and VLANs.
• Experience with patch management (WSUS and/or Intune).
• Nutanix AHV familiarity or experience.
• Hybrid identity and AD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and harden the network and cloud environment against threats with Azure security controls.
• Monitor security alerts from Defender for Cloud and SIEM tools; escalate high-risk issues promptly.
• Configure Cisco Meraki firewall settings and segmentation to enforce least-privilege across on-prem and cloud resources.
• Implement Azure network security components (NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN/ExpressRoute, Azure Bastion).
• Assist identity management initiatives, device hardening, and GPO-based security baselines.
• Ensure secure backups and ransomware-resilient practices with Cohesity and Nutanix environments.
• Support vulnerability management and patch cycles (Intune) for servers and devices.
• Maintain security documentation and architecture diagrams; participate in audits and training.
