Job summary

MedVanta, the nation’s largest physician-owned MSO, seeks an IT Network Engineer to design, support, and maintain our network and cloud infrastructure with emphasis on Azure. You will serve as Level 2 escalation for the IT Help Desk and perform field service at offices and clinics.

Responsibilities include secure LAN/WAN/VPN/firewall design, Azure deployments, hybrid environment support, and cloud security/compliance best practices across networks and clouds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CS/IT or related field
• 4–7 years of Azure/AWS cloud, IT infra, networking, or systems engineering
• Cloud Services certification required
• Relevant certifications preferred but not required
• Prior experience providing Level 2/Tier 2 support
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Proven collaboration across functions and fast-growing environments

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls
• Design, implement, and manage network and cloud infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs)
• Monitor performance, availability, and security; remediate issues
• Support and manage hybrid environments
• On-site installation, testing, repair, and replacement of network equipment
• Assist with network refresh projects and office openings
• Automate deployments and manage cloud-based services, focusing on Azure networking
• Manage Azure resources (VMs, storage, Entra ID / Azure AD)
• Assist with cloud migrations and IaC initiatives (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
• Apply cloud security and compliance practices across networks and clouds
• Escalation support for Tier 1 tickets on connectivity and performance
• Root-cause analysis and permanent fixes
• Mentor Help Desk staff and provide Tier II support
• Travel locally for on-site projects
• Participate in after-hours maintenance as needed
• Document configurations, standards, and resolutions
