Job summary

Axiom Global Technologies is seeking an experienced Azure Network Engineer in Pittsburgh to design, implement, and automate modern Azure network environments. You will manage enterprise networking, hybrid connectivity, and multi-region architectures, using Terraform or Ansible for deployment and scripting with PowerShell or Python.

The role emphasizes hands-on expertise in Azure networking, security best practices, and collaboration with on-premises teams to optimize connectivity and resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
• 3+ years configuring, administering, troubleshooting Azure networking environments.
• Experience with Azure VNets and Subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateway.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS and DHCP.
• Knowledge of BGP and IPsec/IKEv2 VPNs.
• Experience designing hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or Ansible for deployment and changes.
• Knowledge of network security best practices: segmentation, least-privilege, firewall policy management.
• Experience with Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Front Door, and multi-region Azure networks.
• Familiarity with integrating third-party appliances (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet).
• Scripting/automation with PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.

We are seeking an experienced Azure Network Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in enterprise networking along with experience designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and automating Azure network environments.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience in Network Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure networking environments.
• Strong experience with:
• Azure VNets and Subnets
• Network Security Groups (NSGs)
• VPN Gateway
• Strong understanding of core networking concepts, including:
• TCP/IP
• Routing & Switching
• DNS / DHCP
• BGP
• VPN protocols such as IPsec/IKEv2
• Experience designing and troubleshooting hybrid connectivity between on‑premises and Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure/network deployment, configuration, and change management.
• Knowledge of network security best practices, including network segmentation, least‑privilege access, and firewall policy management.
• Experience with Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Front Door, or multi‑region Azure network architectures.
