Job summary

Cognizant seeks an experienced Technical Lead to guide design, development, and support of enterprise applications using .NET, Azure, and SQL Server. You will drive architecture, governance, and modern delivery practices across cross-functional teams in a hybrid Hartford, CT setting.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, troubleshooting, and end-to-end ownership with opportunities to mentor, optimize performance, and advance DevOps maturity within a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Architect role.
• Hands-on expertise in .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework.
• Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise apps on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, performance tuning, and data integration.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and production support operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise apps using .NET technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance while promoting coding standards.
• Design and develop modern apps with C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, Microservices, EF, and Angular/React.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Key Vault, Azure SQL).
• Lead L2 production support, drive incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and system monitoring.
• Support DevOps and release processes, including CI/CD and deployment automation.
