Job summary

Applied Information Sciences seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate Azure Landing Zone infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop environments. You will lead governance, security controls, and automation initiatives across Azure services, ensuring reliability and scalable performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement in cloud operations and incident response to support client workloads in enterprise

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure-based enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with governance, security, and change management processes.
• Hands-on administration of Azure services and AV environments.

Responsibilities

• Azure Landing Zone Operations: manage groups, subscriptions, policies, RBAC, networking.
• Monitor platform health and performance across Azure environments.
• Administer core Azure infrastructure services: VNet, NSG, routes, storage, Key Vault, backup, monitoring.
• Perform routine operational tasks: validation, patching, log review, remediation.
• Enforce governance and security controls via Azure Policy and tagging.
• Incident response and root-cause analysis for Azure issues.
• Maintain runbooks, asset inventories, and docs.
• Azure Virtual Desktop Support: manage host pools, session hosts, application groups, workspaces, FSLogix.
• Monitor AVD health, capacity, and troubleshoot connectivity.
