InstantServe LLC in Washington, DC, seeks a hands-on Azure Cloud Architect to lead its cloud build-out (Azure primary, AWS GovCloud). Design secure environments, deliver Terraform-based infrastructure, lead migrations, and support Azure Virtual Desktop.

You will mentor engineers, implement landing zones and RBAC, work with Azure Policy, and communicate options, costs, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Competenze

• 8+ years in infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years designing and building in Microsoft Azure.
• Enterprise Azure landing zone design including management groups, Azure Policy, RBAC, hub-and-spoke networking.
• Hands-on Terraform production experience with reusable modules and remote state.
• Experience building infrastructure CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (or GitHub Actions).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access, and identity governance.
• Experience planning or leading migrations of on-premises workloads to Azure.
• Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3).
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers, including code review.
• Strong written communication with architecture docs and runbooks.

• Lead cloud build-out and migrations, designing secure Azure environments and supporting AVD.
• Translate agency requirements into clear solution designs and present options, costs, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Improve project standards for IaC, change management, and documentation for all cloud work.
• Define best practices and standards for Azure services, landing zones, RBAC, and tagging.
• Track work in Azure DevOps boards and incidents and changes in ServiceNow.
