Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Microsoft Enterprise Systems Engineer to lead design, modernization, automation, and operational excellence of enterprise infrastructure platforms. You will guide Azure, Microsoft 365, identity management, and AI-enabled engineering practices across the organization.

The role emphasizes automation, AI-driven workflows, and security governance, with oversight of hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. Onsite in Overland Park, KS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, conditional access, and authentication technologies.
• Experience implementing automation frameworks and workflow orchestration solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, N8N, or similar automation tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise security, governance, compliance, and endpoint management initiatives.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments spanning cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Strong knowledge of VMware administration and enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, engineering, and delivery of enterprise infrastructure solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware, and on-premises environments.
• Manage 2-4 concurrent infrastructure projects with technical leadership through planning, implementation, and operation.
• Define enterprise infrastructure strategy, standards, and roadmaps aligned with security objectives.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices across infrastructure, automation, and cloud operations.
