Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Principal Engineer Analyst to lead Azure cloud migration and modernization for a federal customer. The role involves planning, designing, and executing migration of a complex on-premises environment to Microsoft Azure, while establishing governance and long-term operations.

You will drive technical strategy, build secure, scalable Azure architectures, and collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant experience in IT/Network Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Cybersecurity.
• One of the listed certifications or ability to obtain before start date (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CCNA Security, CCNP Security).
• Strong background in Azure cloud architecture and operating model design.
• Experience with IaC tools (Bicep/ARM) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a major cloud modernization initiative for a federal customer.
• Plan, design, implement, and sustain migration of on-premises to Microsoft Azure.
• Own lifecycle from assessment to future-state architecture, governance, and long-term operations.
• Provide ongoing engineering support and optimization for production cloud environment.
