Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group is seeking an Azure Senior FinOps Engineer to optimize cloud costs and govern Azure spend across complex environments. You will support application teams through the lifecycle, partner with finance and procurement, and drive data-driven cost/performance decisions.

The role requires hands-on Azure FinOps experience, strong scripting skills (Python, Bash/PowerShell), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services.
• Experience evaluating infrastructure and driving cost improvements.
• Experience with REST APIs and automation.
• Proficient in Python; scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to translate business requirements into PoCs and demos.

Responsibilities

• Work with collaborators to enable efficient cloud usage through the application lifecycle.
• Analyze cost trends and optimize Azure services to reduce overspend.
• Ensure appropriate Azure services are used in each environment to avoid overspending.
• Establish KPIs for Azure Cloud Financial Performance and report on them.
• Configure Cost Management tooling across environments and automate dashboards.
• Create dashboards to analyze cost trends and perform root cause analyses.
• Automate tooling configuration via APIs and set up pipelines for regular updates.
• Ensure tagging standards are followed and new guidelines implemented.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and translate services into business value.
