Job summary

Toyota Industries North America, Inc. is seeking a Manager IT Architecture (Enterprise & Cloud) to stand up an Architecture Office from greenfield and shape the operating model, standards, and team responsible for enterprise and Azure architecture.

The role leads a small team, partners with Operations, Service Delivery/PMO, and GRC to ensure designs meet non-functional requirements and align with SLAs, DR testing, and cost targets, while driving reusable patterns and reference architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years across enterprise/platform/cloud architecture with 3+ years leading architects or principal engineers.
• Proven Azure depth including landing zones, Entra ID, networking, PaaS, cost management, DR/resiliency.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, data flows, and service modeling.
• Experience launching/owning a CMDB program and integrating with ITSM processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the Architecture Office from greenfield with mission, scope, and success metrics.
• Recruit, lead, and coach a small team of up to 2 architects.
• Own CMDB program data model, discovery, and post-change processes; integrate with ITSM.
• Publish and maintain enterprise and platform roadmaps and align with Service Delivery.
• Define and govern non-functional requirements (availability, performance, recoverability, scalability).
• Establish Azure landing zone guardrails and baseline templates.
• Design hybrid connectivity and segmentation patterns (SD-WAN, VPN, Private DNS, Private Link, ExpressRoute).
• Serve as design authority for PMO-led projects; ensure standards and cost targets are met.
• Partner with Service Delivery on demand intake and backlog prioritization.
• Collaborate with GRC on policy mapping and risk input; security remains under GRC ownership.
• Drive FinOps governance with Operations/Finance and report cloud cost variance.
• Maintain the technology debt register and publish modernization recommendations.
• Evangelize architecture through reference architectures, playbooks, and office hours.
• Measure KPIs like design review cycle time, CMDB data quality, DR test pass rate, cloud cost variance.
