Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Manager – Azure DevOps to lead the Public Sector Cloud Engineering team. You will drive transformation of lift-and-shift workloads into secure, Azure-native solutions while upholding security and compliance across all deployments.

You will architect Azure platform lands, implement IaC with Bicep/Terraform, and advance DevSecOps practices, guiding delivery and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure resilient cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of management or leadership experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering environment.
• 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps cloud and software development practices.
• Proven experience transforming lift-and-shift workloads to Azure-native architectures with a focus on security and compliance.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure and deployment tools (e.g., Octopus Deploy, Azure services).
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep and/or Terraform).
• Experience designing secure Azure platform and application landing zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing DevOps team with a security-first mindset.
• Transform lift-and-shift workloads into secure, Azure-native solutions and oversee landing zone designs.
• Architect and maintain Azure infrastructure using Bicep and/or Terraform with codified security controls.
• Champion DevSecOps practices and integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines and SDLC.
• Automate Day 2 operations for cloud apps and coordinate with security teams on vulnerability scanning and compliance.
