Job summary

Aperia Solutions, a Texas-based fintech and managed consultancy, seeks a DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic team. The role emphasizes Azure cloud platform expertise and hands-on automation across Windows and Linux environments.

You will design, implement, and optimize scalable systems, manage microservices and CI/CD workflows, and ensure robust security and monitoring across the stack.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of application and operations experience throughout a full application stack.
• Cloud Platform (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Container tech such as Docker/Openshift or Kubernetes/GKE/EKS/AKS.
• Python, or shell (bash) scripting.
• Deep understanding of Linux; knowledge of infrastructure and security.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab, Harness, Nexus and technologies such as Terraform.
• Release management and change management processes; troubleshooting auth between servers, load balancers and TLS.
• Data encoding, compression, and encryption/decryption considerations.
• Firewall management and AI-related applications (Watson).
• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current tech stack and reengineer processes to expand capabilities.
• Monitor and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance and reliability.
• Manage microservices platforms and ensure hardware/software platforms meet requirements.
• Automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Design scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant systems that meet complex needs.
• Implement best practices for security and monitoring in software development.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers; install and support server products.
• Diagnose and tune applications; maintain multiple databases and storage tech.
• Support IT Service Management processes and change management policies.
• Utilize DevOps tools for automated versioning and deployments; Python/PowerShell scripting.
