Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join our Arlington, VA team. The role focuses on building and running an internal DevOps platform on Azure with pipelines, automation, and secure deployments.

The position is primarily onsite at a customer location, with at least three days per week onsite. Strong emphasis on IaC, CI/CD, and cloud resources (Azure/AWS) is required.

SAIC is seeking Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team.AzureDevOpsEngineer will work at the following SAIC location:Arlington, VA.

Note: This role is primarily onsite at our customer location. The selected candidate will be expected to work onsite a minimum of three (3) days per week. Onsite requirements are subject to change based on program needs.

Job Duties

• Tool Development: Build internal DevOps tools, CLI utilities, and automation scripts.
• Platform Engineer building and running our internal developer platform (Azure,CI/CD, Kubernetes,pipelinesand automation) for both connected and air-gapped environments.
• GitLab for source control and pipelines;Terraformas the primary automation language; Pythonfor helpers/tests; Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
• Microsoft Azure Stack HubandHyper-V sidecar.
• Trunk-based GitLab workflows, deterministic pipelines with built-in testing and security scans, evidence (JUnit/SBOM/scan) attached to every change, no manual "click-ops."
• Checksum/signature/SBOM-driven movement of artifacts,mirroring viareposyncand Pulp, offlinescanningand promotion for high-side environments.
• Secret hygiene by default,secrets managementfamiliarity, and comfort with vulnerability/misconfigscanning inCI(SAST,IaC, secretdetection,Semgrep/KICS,Trivy/pip-audit).

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelorsdegree and five (5)yearsexperience; Four (4) years of additional work experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Go-based CLI tools and API integrations to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong background deploying and managingcloud resources (Azure, AWS).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with tools such asTerraform.
• Scriptinglanguage such as PowerShell or Pythonforpipeline andOStask automation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise environments (Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS).
• Configuration managementexperienceusing tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Clearance Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with eligible SCI; SCI access must have been debriefed within the last two (2) years.

Desired Skills

• Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience, RHEL/Windowspatching familiarity, and strong documentation habits for handoffs and audits.
• ExperienceutilizingHelm for managing Kubernetes deployments.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
