Job description

Azure DevOps Engineer with minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience, to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Azure services and DevOps practices, with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. This will be at minimum a 12 month long contract with potential conversion or extension. This candidate will be in office in the client’s Addison, Texas office 3‑4x a week.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot build, release, and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain and optimize Azure environments, including App Services, AKS, VMs, and networking components.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance across DevOps workflows.
• Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Experience and Skills

• Around 2 years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps tools (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts).
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services and cloud infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑104 (Azure Administrator) or AZ‑400 (Azure DevOps Engineer).
