Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join our Arlington, VA team. You will build internal DevOps tools and automation scripts, and run a platform built on Azure, CI/CD, and Kubernetes. You will use GitLab for pipelines, Terraform for IaC, and Helm for Kubernetes deployments.

The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance and a strong background in cloud provisioning, IaC, and secure software delivery. This position is based in Arlington, VA, with a focus on hardened, air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience; four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Go-based CLI tools and API integrations to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong background deploying and managing cloud resources (Azure, AWS).
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform; scripting for pipelines and OS task automation.

Role Overview:

• Tool Development: Build internal DevOps tools, CLI utilities, and automation scripts.
• Platform Engineer building and running our internal developer platform (Azure,CI/CD, Kubernetes,pipelinesand automation) for both connected and air-gapped environments.
• GitLab for source control and pipelines;Terraformas the primary automation language; Pythonfor helpers/tests; Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
• Microsoft Azure Stack HubandHyper-V sidecar.
• Trunk-based GitLab workflows, deterministic pipelines with built-in testing and security scans, evidence (JUnit/SBOM/scan) attached to every change, no manual “click-ops.”
• Checksum/signature/SBOM-driven movement of artifacts,mirroring viareposyncand Pulp, offlinescanningand promotion for high-side environments.
• Secret hygiene by default,secrets managementfamiliarity, and comfort with vulnerability/misconfigscanning inCI(SAST,IaC, secretdetection,Semgrep/KICS,Trivy/pip-audit).

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
