Cognizant is seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Administrator to join our Cloud, Data & AI practice. You will design, deploy, and secure enterprise Databricks environments, driving governance, cost optimization, and platform reliability across teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of hands-on Azure Databricks experience, strong knowledge of Unity Catalog, RBAC, and data governance, plus collaboration with engineering, security, and operations to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
• Hands-on administration of Azure Databricks in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Azure components and security governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and administer Azure Databricks workspaces with secure connectivity.
• Configure cluster policies, runtime versions, autoscaling, and workload management.
• Optimize performance with tuning, Spark configuration, Delta Lake practices.
• Govern Unity Catalog metastores, catalogs, schemas, and access controls.
• Integrate with Azure Data Factory and orchestrate data pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations for platform reliability.
