Job summary

VIRTELLIGENCE in Minnesota is seeking an Azure Database Architect to shape data platform strategy and enterprise data models. You will design and implement scalable Azure-based data lakes, relational and non-relational stores, and governance controls across teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Oracle databases, mentorship, and ensuring secure, auditable data access.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture or data management.
• Strong experience designing and implementing data lakes and databases in Azure.
• Experience with Databricks, Oracle databases, and data transformation solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Data Factory, SQL Analytics, ARM, Azure CLI/PowerShell.
• Ability to mentor others in the listed technologies.
• Experience with backup/recovery strategies using Azure tools.
• Understanding of RBAC, encryption, and network security.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
