Job summary

Sutherland is seeking a senior Data and DevOps Engineer to build, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure in support of data platforms and enterprise solutions. You will implement IaC with Terraform, manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and automate deployments with PowerShell or Python.

The role requires strong collaboration in Agile squads and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud environments.

Qualifications

7+ years in Data & DevOps engineering.
5+ years building Azure cloud infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities

Build, administer and deploy infrastructure within Azure Cloud.
Work with Azure services: Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Service Bus, VMs, Blob Storage, SQL DB, DNS, VNets, App Service.
Create core infrastructure with Terraform (IaC).
Manage CI/CD pipelines and documentation via Azure DevOps.
Define release workflows and automate deployments.
Automate processes with PowerShell / Python.
Audit security and access for the data platform.
Monitor nightly data pipelines to meet SLAs.
Respond to alerts with timely solutions and communicate outages.
Work in Agile squads delivering enterprise-grade tech.
