Job summary

Rhenus Logistics is seeking an experienced Azure Data Platform Engineer to develop, operate, and optimize an Azure-based data platform. You will focus on Azure, Databricks, data infrastructure, and CI/CD, supporting multi-tenant environments and enabling reliable, scalable data solutions.

The role involves designing end-to-end data solutions, building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with PySpark, and collaborating with BI and data teams while ensuring governance and security basics.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure data services including ADF, ADLS Gen2, Databricks and Synapse.
• Strong PySpark/Spark for distributed data processing.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data workloads.
• Strong SQL skills and analytics optimization.
• Experience with Parquet and Avro formats.
• Solid grasp of Azure resource structure and environments.
• Fluent English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate end-to-end data solutions on Azure.
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with PySpark.
• Support multi-tenant data platforms across environments with governance.
• Provision and maintain Azure data infrastructure for stability and security.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for data workloads and Databricks workloads.
• Apply Azure best practices for performance and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with BI and data teams on data models and reporting.
• Support data governance and basic metadata management.
