Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. is seeking a Data Platform Administrator to manage and support SQL Server, Azure data services, Fabric, Synapse, Azure SQL Database, and Power BI environments across development, QA, and production.

The ideal candidate will understand Azure data-platform architecture, administer MS SQL databases, manage deployments, access, and day-to-day operations while collaborating with development and security teams.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database administration, maintenance, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with Azure data services, data pipelines, and storage concepts.
Experience supporting Azure Synapse Analytics, Fabric, and related data-platform components.
Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data environments across development, QA, and production.

Responsibilities

Administer and support on-premises MS SQL Database and Azure data-platform resources across environments.
Configure, upgrade, migrate, secure, and optimize databases and objects.
Support Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and related services.
Monitor health, performance, storage usage, connectivity, and availability.
Troubleshoot issues including blocking, deadlocks, and failed jobs.
Assist with backup/restore, disaster recovery, and environment refreshes.
Manage users, logins, roles, permissions, and access controls.
Support data pipeline deployments and troubleshoot failed runs.
Deploy and manage data pipelines across environments using established processes.
Support Fabric workspaces, lakehouses, and related resources.
Troubleshoot Azure Storage and Parquet data lake concepts.
