Responsibilities

• Design and review enterprise data architectures using Microsoft Azure data services.

• Create and review architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution narratives.
• Participate in technical discussions and presentations with VP, CEO, and client stakeholders.
• Define data integration, migration, governance, and cloud modernization strategies.

We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Architect to provide technical leadership and architecture expertise for an upcoming enterprise initiative. The consultant will help design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions and participate in architecture discussions with senior leadership and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review enterprise data architectures using Microsoft Azure data services.
• Develop scalable solutions for data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, data governance, and real-time streaming.
• Evaluate Azure technologies, architecture options, scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Create and review architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution narratives.
• Participate in technical discussions and presentations with VP, CEO, and client stakeholders.
• Define data integration, migration, governance, and cloud modernization strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud, analytics, and business teams to align solutions with enterprise requirements.

Required Technical Skills

• Data Engineering: Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data modeling.
• Data Lakehouse: Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, and data lake solutions.
• Data Governance: Microsoft Purview, access control, data lineage, security, and compliance.
• Real-Time Processing: Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, and streaming architectures.
• AI/ML Integration: Azure AI services, MLflow, RAG, vector search, and agentic AI concepts.
• Cloud Architecture: Azure security, networking, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• Experience with Google BigQuery and multi-cloud data architecture is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of architecture documentation, solution design, and technical presentations.

Experience and Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud migration strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
