Job summary

The University of Arizona Foundation is seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Tucson. This role focuses on daily cloud operations, Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, user lifecycle management, and incident response to ensure reliable service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5+ years of on-prem and cloud experience, with Azure (preferred) and familiarity with Intune, DNS, and identity platforms.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• 2–5+ years of on-prem and cloud systems administration experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud administration (Azure preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and identity platforms.
• Understanding networking fundamentals.
• Experience with IT Service Management practices (Ticketing, incident/change management).
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the administration of Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
• Perform user lifecycle management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access control.
• Monitor system alerts and respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Support endpoint and device management using Intune or similar tools.
• Assist with patching, updates, and routine system maintenance.
• Support backup and restore operations and verify recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Coordinate DNS updates with internal teams, vendors, and service providers for cloud services and security requirements.
• Assist with identity and access integrations, including SSO and provisioning using SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and MFA.
