Job summary

The University of Arizona Foundation is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Tucson. You will manage cloud services, primarily Azure and Microsoft 365, and ensure reliable operations.

The role requires collaboration with donors and staff, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication. On-site work is expected with occasional early/late hours to minimize service disruptions.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is required.
• 2–5+ years of on-prem and cloud systems administration experience preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on Azure/cloud administration experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and identity platforms (Azure AD, SSO).
• Strong networking basics and ITSM experience (ticketing, incidents).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; on-site work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
• Perform user lifecycle management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access control.
• Monitor system alerts and respond to incidents and service requests.
• Support endpoint and device management using Intune or similar tools.
• Assist with patching, updates, and routine system maintenance.
• Support backup and restore operations and verify recovery processes.
• Maintain documentation of procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Coordinate DNS updates and identity/access integrations (SSO, MFA).
