Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Cloud Reliability Engineer III to design and implement cloud services, automate operations, and improve reliability and developer experience. This hybrid role requires 3 in-person days at Salisbury, NC, with 2 remote days.

Responsibilities include building reusable cloud patterns, enforcing configurations, and improving observability. Strong Azure IaC and automation experience are essential, with collaboration across platform and security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• 5+ years in cloud engineering or platform operations.
• 5+ years' Production experience in Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, Azure functions, Azure automation and runbooks, workbooks, Insights, Security Center, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools like ADO, ARM, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, AzCLI, GitHub
• Hands-on with automation, IAM, networking, and core cloud services.
• Familiarity with containers/serverless and CI/CD.
• Strong problem solving and communication.
• At least 4 years of hands‑on operational experience supporting Azure components such as VNet, VWAN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, CDN, Azure DNS, BGP, MFA, Key Vault, Governance, Monitoring, VMs, Containers/Kubernetes, Storage.

Responsibilities

• Design reusable cloud modules and reference patterns.
• Implement policy enforcement and configuration baselines.
• Enhance observability and SLO/SLA reporting.
• Execute upgrades, patching, and change windows safely.
• Troubleshoot incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Document standards, golden paths, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with platform, security, and product teams.
• May be called upon to support critical escalations during urgent IT incidents.
