Job summary

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, you will lead a global team, manage budget and vendors, and drive continuous improvement while aligning to regulatory requirements for a SEC-regulated financial services firm.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in cloud engineering or related roles with 5+ years in a people leadership capacity.
• Deep Azure expertise: landing zones, subscription management, Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, networking, and compute/storage/data services.
• Proven experience building/operating a platform engineering or SRE function with service ownership, SLOs, incident management, and toil reduction.
• Strong FinOps experience: managing and optimizing cloud spend at scale.
• Experience in regulated industries with familiarity with NIST CSF, SOC 2, SEC, FINRA.
• Excellent communication skills for executive/board-level presentations.
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute cloud platform strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Own Azure landing zone architecture, subscription hierarchy, governance, and hybrid connectivity patterns.
• Drive adoption of Azure Well-Architected Framework and establish an Azure Governance body.
• Partner with Engineering, Data/AI, and Cybersecurity for cross-functional platform decisions.
• Own FinOps discipline for Azure: cost visibility, tagging, chargeback/showback, spend optimization.
• Transition Cloud Platform to a service-based, SRE-aligned model with SLIs/SLOs and toil reduction.
• Publish service catalogs, escalation paths, and expectations for all platform services.
• Implement blameless postmortems and reliability improvement backlogs.
