Job summary

The Intersect Group is partnering on a major cloud transformation, migrating a critical on-premise app to Microsoft Azure. You will lead architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-native solutions, mentoring teams and driving best practices across DevOps, security, and governance.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in IT, 5+ years Azure, and strong experience with Java, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Angular, and microservices, along with Terraform and container orchestration expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience including enterprise app development.
• 5+ years hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience with certifications.
• 8+ years building applications with Java, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Angular, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and deployment of cloud-native apps in Azure.
• Develop/modernize apps using Java, Angular, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and microservices.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best-practice adherence.
• Design CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent DevOps tools.
• Implement IaC with Terraform for automated provisioning and config.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize cloud environments for cost, performance.
• Ensure security controls, IAM, encryption, and governance across apps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Document architectures, workflows, capabilities, and implementation roadmaps.
