Job summary

Peraton in Arlington, VA seeks a Mid-Level Engineer Analyst to support moving a client’s software and applications to Microsoft Azure. This role requires US citizenship and a Secret clearance.

You will conduct software discovery, asset inventory, and gap analysis using standard tools, then assist in environment build-out, migration, and ongoing maintenance under senior direction. Occasional telework is possible for local candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of IT/Network Engineering, Systems Administration, or Cybersecurity experience.
• Must obtain and maintain one of the listed certifications (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNA-Security, CISSP, SSCP).
• Hands-on experience with network/asset discovery tools (Nmap, Spectr, GhostCrew, Defender for Cloud).
• Working knowledge of vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
• Experience querying data from Active Directory and CMDB.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery of software, applications, systems, and networks using standard tools.
• Query and extract asset data from source systems (Active Directory, SCCM, ServiceNow CMDB).
• Perform gap analysis and flag vulnerabilities or non-compliant configurations.
• Support inventory publication, baseline maintenance, and ongoing validation cycles.
• Assist in operations phases: environment build-out, migration, and transition under senior direction.
