Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a Business Analyst to capture and map complex enterprise requirements for cloud migrations, translating business needs into functional specs and UAT plans.

Candidate will lead JAD sessions, coordinate with Dev/IT, document current and future states, and ensure security and resilience requirements are met. Requires USC/Gc and Oklahoma City residency or nearby area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience gathering and mapping business requirements during large-scale enterprise cloud migrations; Azure preferred.
• Expertise dissecting complex legacy applications, extracting business rules, and mapping them to modern target architectures.
• Demonstrated experience identifying manual bottlenecks and legacy workarounds and transforming them into automated workflows.
• Experience defining requirements for enterprise-wide document storage, capture, and workflow management systems.
• Hands-on experience with structured SDLC frameworks and defined Project Charters.
• Ability to lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
• Experience managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ability to ensure solutions align with security, accessibility, and operational resilience standards.
• USC or GC work authorization only.
• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma or nearby residence due to office travel; no travel expense reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business units to understand workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Interface with Development or IT staff to translate technical requirements.
• Document current-state processes using process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow charts.
• Facilitate discussions to define future-state processes aligned with goals.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items/user stories.
• Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable, and aligned with priorities.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and step-by-step testing instructions.
• Execute functional testing in Development and Test environments.
• Document defects, track resolution progress, and verify fixes.
• Coordinate, support, or lead user acceptance testing sessions.
• Serve as liaison between business units and technical teams.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and issues.
• Support change management through training materials, documentation, and user guidance.
