Job summary

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and maintenance of the firm’s cloud footprint, collaborating with internal IT teams to balance workloads and ensure security conformance.

The role is hybrid or virtual/remote, with responsibilities spanning Azure environments, Kubernetes clusters, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), and CI/CD pipelines, while mentoring teams and shaping technology roadmaps for the firm.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a senior cloud systems administrator or comparable role.
• 5+ years managing and designing Azure environments with advanced knowledge of deployment, scaling, data protection, and security.
• 5+ years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters and integrating with Azure.
• 5+ years of experience with application development pipelines and IT infrastructure integration.
• 4+ years of IaC experience with Terraform or Bicep.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its integration with other Microsoft cloud solutions.
• Understanding of application development solutions such as Logic Apps and Flow in relation to IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Azure DevOps & CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Power Platform, Foundry, Graph API, Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for questions and decisions related to Microsoft Azure and other cloud solutions.
• Bridge IT Infrastructure and IT Applications teams focusing on Azure technologies and integration.
• Ensure solutions follow vendor best practices for performance, cost, data protection, and security.
• Assist in technology roadmaps covering lifecycle planning, capacity, obsolescence, and vendor roadmaps.
• Perform root cause analysis to recover from interruptions and prevent recurrence.
• Create and maintain documentation on services and applications.
