Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and deploy Azure cloud infrastructure in a greenfield environment from Fort Myers, FL. The role is a Contract to Hire position with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will develop and manage IaC using Terraform and Bicep, contribute to Azure DevOps pipelines, support data lake initiatives with Microsoft Fabric, and collaborate across security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver scalable cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on cloud engineering experience (Azure environment strongly preferred)
• Proven experience deploying cloud resources and building infrastructure (not just support)
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control workflows
• Understanding of cloud security posture and monitoring basics
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Experience integrating AI/ML solutions and healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM) preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy Azure cloud infrastructure in a greenfield environment
• Support completion and optimization of Azure landing zone
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
• Contribute to implementation of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Support development of data lake environment (Microsoft Fabric) and AI initiatives
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams across the organization
• Ensure scalable, efficient, and maintainable cloud deployments
• Operate independently while supporting broader cloud strategy initiatives
