Job summary

BVG & Company is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer II to design, implement, secure, automate, and sustain cloud and hybrid network infrastructure for the NEST Communications Program in Albuquerque, NM. The role emphasizes Microsoft Azure expertise, government-system experience, and strong networking and security skills to support mission-critical operations.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on Azure engineering, IaC proficiency with Terraform/Bicep/ARM, and familiarity with DoE/NNSA or similar

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6+ years in cloud engineering or related IT fields.
• 3+ years hands-on cloud infrastructure, incl. 2+ years in Azure.
• Experience designing resilient cloud architectures with DR and backups.
• Experience with DoE/DoD-like secure environments and government systems.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, routing, DNS, VPNs and network security basics.
