Job summary

HawodTech Solutions Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Azure-focused IT professional to assess and migrate our IT infrastructure to the cloud. The role combines hands-on cloud design with leadership and collaboration across the IT team.

You will manage Azure environments, implement IaC with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet and Ansible, and guide security and governance across multi-region deployments. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Azure experience, plus experience

• Proficiency in scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git for source control.
• Experience with Jira and ServiceNow.
• Strong networking, security and CI/CD knowledge.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Microsoft Azure cloud environment including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security
• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements
• Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud-native tooling for automated deployments
• Develop and implement policy-driven data protection practices for cloud solutions
• Support cloud adoption of applications during modernization
• Ensure all infrastructure components meet performance and capacity standards
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address escalations

Job Description:

• Will be responsible for assessing our IT infrastructure to help plan and deploy our ongoing cloud migration.
• Will also oversee the migration process, design, maintain and monitor the new system, and configure hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment.
• Should have a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with the communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the IT team.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security
• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
• Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud-native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments
• Develop and implement policy-driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss
• Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized
• Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
• 2+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization
• 2+ years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application systems
• Experience working within an Agile framework
• Experience in IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
• Experience scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell
• Proficient with GIT to perform source code management
• Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Jira and ServiceNow
• Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling
• Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
