Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Cleveland is seeking a Software Architect to lead design, modernization, and deployment of enterprise cloud-native applications.

You will bridge business requirements with technical execution, mentor teams, and enforce secure, scalable architectures across Azure. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication with stakeholders, and hands-on Azure experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or related field.
• 7–10+ years in software development with 3+ years in architecture or leadership.
• Proven experience in enterprise full-stack development.
• Strong C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, SQL Server, and Microsoft tech proficiency.
• Deep Azure knowledge (App Services, Functions, Storage, SQL Database).
• Experience with microservices, REST/GraphQL, Docker/Kubernetes, and serverless.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, testing, and monitoring.
• Security/compliance awareness (OAuth, SAML, JWT).

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement Azure-based solutions using Azure PaaS, IaaS, and serverless offerings.
• Lead modernization by migrating legacy systems to Azure cloud.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven designs.
• Mentor development teams and conduct architectural planning sessions.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into deliverables.
• Ensure security, compliance, performance, and reliability of applications.
• Develop architecture specifications and conduct governance reviews.
• Stay current with Azure/Microsoft advancements and adopt new patterns.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code with Azure DevOps.
• Establish and enforce development standards and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
