Five Rivers Analytics is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to migrate and sustain the SAMS in Microsoft Azure, leading environment build-out and ensuring secure, scalable cloud operations. The role requires 2–4 years of Azure experience and a strong background in VM architecture, VNet, SQL Database, and Key Vault.

Located in or near Charleston, SC with periodic customer-site visits; remote work options supported.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field with 2–4 years of related experience.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer/Azure Engineer or similar role in enterprise cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure configuration, deployment, and operations.
• Expertise with Azure VM architecture, dedicated hosts, and cloud-hosted infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including VNet, VMs, SQL Database, Key Vault, Azure Files, Application Gateway, API Management, and Azure Monitor.
• Ability to design and build cloud-based development, test, and production environments.
• Experience migrating on-prem to Azure.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting across network, compute, and data services.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end migration of SAMS from on-prem to Azure.
• Design, develop, and build Azure-based dev/test/prod environments.
• Operate and optimize SAMS cloud services (VNet, Dedicated Hosts, VMs, SQL DB, Synapse, Monitor, Gateway, Key Vault, Files, API Management).
• Provide guidance translating architecture concepts into engineering plans.
• Ensure cloud configurations meet security, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure, network, and service issues.
• Implement best practices for cloud operations, resource mgmt, high availability, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to align cloud solutions with SAMS needs.
