Job summary

Amaze Systems Inc in Cary, NC is seeking an Azure Engineer to design, architect, and implement scalable Azure cloud solutions. You will lead CI/CD implementations for cloud-native and hybrid apps, and define infrastructure as code using ARM or Terraform. Qualifications

• Design, architect, and implement scalable Azure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for cloud-native and hybrid apps.
• Define IaC using ARM templates, Terraform for consistent deployments.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentor team members on Azure cloud and DevOps.
• Stay updated on Azure technologies and propose new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).
• Provision and configure IaaS and PaaS services like VMs, App Services, databases, storage, VNets, function apps, Data Factory, Key Vault, Service Bus, Event Grid, Databricks.
• Expertise with IaC automation tools (Terraform, ARM, PowerShell).
• Demonstrate knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Logging and Monitoring using Log Analytics, App Insights, and Azure Monitor.
• Back decisions with research and rationale, presenting options with pros/cons and a recommendation.
• Understand HA and DR patterns for cloud apps.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Design and automate deployment, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Analyze production systems and performance results for improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal groups to provide leadership and solutions.
• Provide real-time problem resolution and documentation for ops teams.
• Share domain knowledge and mentor peers.
• 7+ years across IT disciplines including cloud architecture, networking, development, middleware, database or operations.
