Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Cloud and AI Engineer to join a cross-functional team supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, and AI adoption across the business.

You will design, build, support, and continuously improve Azure-based data, AI, and integration capabilities enabling secure, scalable manufacturing solutions. The role requires combining cloud engineering with data and AI platform experience, working with diverse teams to operationalize AI/ML solutions and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline or six years of relevant equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience supporting cloud, data, AI, machine-learning, software, or hybrid technology environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Experience developing, deploying, supporting, or integrating data, analytics, machine-learning, or AI solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support Azure cloud services for AI, data, and business apps.
• Build and support ML development workflows using Azure ML.
• Configure Azure AI Foundry for governed AI development and deployment.
• Operationalize models for reliable integration with process-control environments.
• Develop secure integration patterns between cloud AI services and enterprise systems.
• Apply security, identity, networking, and data-protection controls per standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, and manufacturing teams to remediate issues.
• Monitor AI and cloud services for availability, cost, and health; resolve issues.
• Contribute to capacity planning, HA, backup, and DR for cloud/AI services.
• Automate cloud/AI deployment and operational activities with IaC.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.
